The New York Times carried a notice that the governor of Georgia. is restoring some funds from an earlier budget cut so that the state archives can remain open two days a week and will be available without an appointment. The Times had done a news article on the topic on Sept. 27.  Seven workers had been let go, with only the director, an archivist, and a building manager staying on.
