Tom McDonald had been among the early people to contact me through the website and to give me very helpful research leads.  He has now finished a two-volume report on his own ancestor, James Hughes Callahan, who was a member of Winn’s Company in the Georgia Battalion.  Tom and I had a good phone conversation, and he later also communicated with Rick Allen.  Rick and I look forward to seeing Tom’s work, because he seems to have done extensive and thorough research on the Georgia Battalion.  R.W.T.
